With many restrictions still in place and social distancing an absolute must due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve all had to adapt to strange new ways of working and living since lockdown began. And, although this is a difficult and testing time for us all, at k:SPA, we’ve managed to make the best of a bad situation by tailoring our services to meet the challenges of this global public health crisis head-on.
Ever since we had to temporarily close our salon in accordance with Government advice and with the safety of our clients in mind, we’ve continued to provide the sort of exemplary customer service for which we are renowned, making use of several online channels and sticking to strict social distancing rules to do so.
Read on to see just how we’ve been keeping busy during lockdown.
Zoom facials and online consultations
Being in lockdown could mean that your skin isn’t in as good a condition as it could be. Luckily, Kelly has been holding some helpful Zoom facials to ensure that your skin isn’t suffering too badly despite being inside for prolonged periods of time. These have been immensely popular, so make sure you keep in the loop to make sure you don’t miss out on the next one.
Online consultations have also allowed our clients to get the advice they need about how best to care for their skin without the luxury of salon treatments and our social media channels have been chock full of video tips on how to manage things such as diverse as hay fever and stress during this challenging period.
Skin plans and one-to-one consultations
Although we’re currently closed, you can still purchase your favourite skincare products from us by calling the salon directly or sending us an e-mail. In support of this, we’ve also been offering all of our clients one-to-one consultations on how to use these products as part of their everyday home skincare routines. Just because we’re all staying home, that doesn’t mean we can’t share our knowledge over the phone or in a virtual way!
We’ve also been providing our clients with detailed skin plans to make sure that their skin is getting the right sort of love and attention during this crucial time. After all, there’s no better opportunity than now to work on getting your skin looking smooth and radiant.
We’ve really made use of our social media channels as a way of reaching out to you all in the current climate of social distancing. As we’re all missing our clients like crazy, this has been the perfect platform for us to keep in touch with you all whilst the clinic has been closed. And what a month we’ve had on Facebook and Instagram. Followers were treated to some fabulous beauty tips on behalf of our Senior Therapist, Lu, who was kind enough to share her morning skincare routine with us as well as providing an interesting way of making our own hand scrubs and cuticle oils from some very basic household ingredients.
We’ll make no bones about it, the lockdown has been tough and this is why we thought we’d ask our Senior Therapist, Taylor, to share some self-massage tips with you all to help ease the tension in your neck and shoulders.
In some more positive news, we’re delighted to announce that our Therapist, Megan achieved her Dermalogica Expert status and that our Senior Therapist, Louise is expecting a baby in September. We hope that you can join us in wishing congratulations to both of them. We’re all thrilled.
