Coronavirus: An Update

As some of you may already know, we recently made the decision to temporarily close our salon. At k:SPA, we’ve always prided ourselves on putting the needs of our wonderful clients at the heart of everything we do and there is nothing that is more important to us all than your continued safety and wellbeing.

In line with the Government’s advice on social distancing and the necessity of only essential businesses operating during this time, this is something that we chose to do in order to help in the nation’s efforts to bring the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) under control.

At present, although we may not be running the salon as normal, we thought we’d take this opportunity to share with you how we’ll be supporting you all during this uncertain time.

Honouring appointments

Some of you have been in touch regarding courses of treatments that have been purchased and whether these will still be honoured when things get back to normal. As your custom is very important to us, and we are in the midst of an unprecedented situation, we can confirm that all treatments with an expiry date will still be valid when it is once again safe for us to open our doors. This also applies to gift certificates, so there is no need to worry about losing out on treatments or money.

Virtual consultations

With many of us self-isolating and keeping to social distancing protocols, there are a lot of things that we’ll need to forgo over the next few months. However, this downtime can be used as a chance to work on the condition and appearance of our skin. As a way of helping you to achieve this, we will be offering online skin consultations tailored to your individual needs. Get in touch with us today via phone or email and we will be able to book you in for a virtual consultation, providing you with helpful advice on how best to look after your skin whilst you’re spending a lot of time indoors.

Accessing skincare products

When spending time in self-isolation and being advised to only shop for the essentials, it’s a possibility that you will begin to run low on your go-to skincare products. That’s why, with many people reducing their social contact and activity significantly, we’ll be making sure you can continue to purchase products from us as normal, with free delivery available for our local clients. If you live further away, we are also looking into the prospect of free postage if you purchase over a set amount. What’s more, the 10% off Dermalogica we ran in March will also be on offer throughout April, with free gifts added to orders that exceed a certain limit. Our popular gift vouchers are also still available to purchase online during this time and, for k:SPA account holders, we’ll be adding an extra £5 to this every time you top up with £15. This can be redeemed when we reopen our doors.

Look after yourself

With the news in a constant state of change and new instructions being delivered to us seemingly every day at this point, there’s a good chance that you’re feeling some anxiety over the situation. To bring this under control, make sure that you are limiting your exposure to the news and using this downtime productively and positively. Try and relax by reading a book, listening to music or catching up with friends over the phone or via the internet. Make it your mission to do something new every day and, when going outside for some light exercise, remember to follow the rules with regards to social distancing. We’re all in the same boat, and we can get through this together.
