We know that this has been a long time coming, but we’re delighted to let you know that we will be reopening k:SPA from Monday 20th July. As we’re sure you’re all aware, we’ve been working tirelessly to provide you with the best service we can after the last few months, and we can’t wait to once again see you all in person.
With safety guidelines still very important and the health and wellbeing of all of our clients and staff remaining our top priority due to Covid-19, we thought we’d take the time to let you know how we will be operating when we reopen. Please note that we will be following these measures until further notice, and will be doing so to honour our strict duty of care to each and every person who passes through our doors.
So, what will your visit to the salon be like for the foreseeable future? We’re glad you asked.
We are thrilled that we are able to offer all of our treatments without restriction. However, all appointment times will be a minimum of 30 minutes and, where possible, we strongly advise you to book in for multiple treatments over the course of one visit and with the same therapist. All treatments will be carried out with the strictest hygiene standards, and our staff will be making use of face masks, face shields and gloves where necessary. Although our equipment is always sterile, we will also be looking to use disposable items as much as possible.
Whilst it might seem strange, we will be striving to reduce anything we consider to be an unnecessary form of contact. To this end, we will be in touch with you prior to your appointment to take payment in advance. This will also have an impact on our day-to-day operations, as we will be limiting the number of staff and clients in the salon each day in order to comply with social distancing. In order to cope with the demand for treatments, we have temporarily extended our opening hours to Monday-Friday 10am-8pm and Saturday 9am-2pm.
Enhanced cleaning practices
Cleanliness has always been a top priority for us and we will be taking this a step further with our enhanced safety, sanitation and cleanliness plan. On top of our existing processes, this means that we will be subjecting the salon to comprehensive cleaning and sanitation after each individual client visit, encouraging more regular hand washing from staff and clients and using the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during each and every treatment.
Prior to our reopening, the salon has undergone an electrostatic deep clean with the help of a powerful disinfectant which kills and protects surfaces from 99.99% of known viruses and bacteria, including Covid-19, for up to 28 days. This is something that will be completed every month for the foreseeable future, providing a further layer of protection to all of our staff and clients.
We hope you’re just as excited as we are about our reopening but, before you book in for any appointments, we’d just like to ask for your support in sticking to these measures for as long as they remain in place. We realise that these may be frustrating, but please be aware that they are being put into action for everybody’s safety.
To further our commitment to the continued health and wellbeing of our patients, we will also be contacting everyone who has booked in with us prior to their appointment to ensure that they aren’t experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19. In the event that you are, you will need to reschedule your appointment with us after you have been clear of these symptoms for two weeks.
